We are looking for ASU Shuttle Drivers for local campus routes to work a set schedule; 5 day work week. Dedicated AM & PM and weekend schedules available. As an Arrow Stage Lines ASU Shuttle Driver you will provide our passengers with safe, professional, courtesy service to their destination. Full and part time positions available.

Duties include: 

 
 

  • Conducts thorough pre and post trip checks of the motorcoach. 

  • Operates all company vehicles safely and courteously, including motorcoaches up to 45 feet in length, on all public roads, highways, and required private property, within cities and mountainous regions, in all weather conditions. 

  • Provides exceptional customer service and acts in a courteous and professional manner at all times, regardless of the circumstances 

  • Transports passengers in a safe and comfortable environment, while being on time. 

  • Assists passengers on and off the motorcoach safely and courteously. 

  • Conducts accurate passenger counts. 

  • Loads and unloads passenger luggage stored in the luggage compartments, respectfully and safely. 

  • Maintains order on the bus and informs passengers of safety rules and passenger related laws when necessary. 

  • Maintains accurate vehicle inspections and records of duty status and miles driven while using on-board recording device or on paper. 

  • Complies with company schedule and ability to work excess of normal working hours as workloads and seasonal activities are encountered. 

  • Complies with all company and client safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills 
 

  • Possess and maintain Class A or B CDL 

  • Must have Passenger and Air Brake endorsements 

  • Must be a careful, patient, non-aggressive driver with an excellent driving record 

  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test, and back screen per DOT regulations as required 

  • Ability to load and unload luggage, to 80 pounds 

  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques 

  • Clean driving record and insurable by the Company insurance carrier 

  • Felony records will be reviewed closely 

  • Capable of regulating off duty time to get proper rest when sitting for prolonged periods of time in between scheduled stops 

  • Skilled with maneuvering a coach in tight places without any incidents or damage 

  • Adept defensive driving techniques 

  • Ability to be on time for all assignments 

  • Keen awareness to details, which includes accurate driver logs, road hazards, other drivers and surroundings 

  • Exceptional customer service and ability to act in a courteous and professional manner at all times, regardless of the circumstances 

  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance 

  • Proficient with reading maps and GPS, searching for locations and/or directions on-line when necessary, and correctly following directions 

  • Computer literate and able to learn and efficiently use different software programs to include electronic logs, and automatic on board recording devices 

  • Speak, read and write English fluently 

  • Perform basic math functions accurately 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Ability to work under pressure with strict timelines 

  • Knowledge and practical use of US Department of Transportation regulations pertaining to driving commercial vehicles. 

  • Must be a team player, willing to accept and support company processes and systems, and treat coworkers and fellow motorcoach operators with mutual respect.

Required Experience 
 

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED is preferred 

  • Two years of CDL driving experience with Class A or B license is preferred
