La Porte Customer Service Representative (La Porte)

La Porte company is looking to fill a full time Customer Service Representative position. The position starts at $14.00/hr and includes a benefit package. All applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be available to work Monday-Friday, 8a-5p with some overtime.
• Have no recent felony convictions.
• Submit to drug testing; initially and on a random basis.

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to read and speak English fluently.
• Have basic computer knowledge.
• Be an accurate touch typist.
• Have a working understanding of Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Outlook).
• Be able to pass a basic math test during the application process.
• Be able to professionally interact with customers using phone calls and email.

As a customer service representative, your primary responsibility will be auditing packets containing several completed marine service activities against known written procedures. Packets will include comparison calculations, inspection certificates, and a log of all activity completed. This information is typed into an approved MS Word template for the customers. The position requires strong attention to detail, strong math capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
