River Terminal Operator 

To maintain and operate marine cargo handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner while unloading/loading customer’s bulk & general cargo products into/out of barge or truck. 

Job Duties Required: 

  • Knowledge of safe & proper operation of all terminal equipment, which includes but is not limited to: 

  • Transfer equipment (Conveyors, stackers) 

  • Barge/dock rigging and lines 

  • Material Handlers with clamshell bucket, grapple, etc. 

  • Skid steer loaders 

  • Front end articulating loaders 

  • D8 & D9 Dozers 

  • Water Truck, Sweeper, Grader 

  • Forklifts 

  • General Labor Duties (Sweeping, Cleaning, Power Washing, Painting) 

  • Ability to work safe and follow Beelman River Terminal and OSHA guidelines. 

  • Startup and shutdown of equipment. 

  • Must be aware of and follow all applicable safety and environmental regulations with respect to the product you are handling 

  • Housekeeping as related, but not limited to, the cleanliness and orderliness of the product handling area (Yard, Terminal Area, Terminal grounds, Break Rooms, etc.), as well as any areas within the terminal as delegated by position supervisor. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Experience with operations of bulk storage, conveying and processing equipment. 

  • Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions; majority of the time will be working outside. 

  • The ability to work from written and verbal instructions. 

  • Must be able to work as a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, follow work rules, and take on other duties as assigned. 

  • Have the willingness and ability to cross train into other areas of the terminal as defined by your supervisor. 

  • Ability to take initiative, get along with and work with co-workers to accomplish defined goals in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance. 

  • Position may require overtime, including evenings and weekends.

$18 to $25 per hour depending on experience

We Require 

Must be at least 21 years of age. 

Must have a valid license. 

Haz-Mat endorsement is helpful but not required. 

Must have no felony convictions less than 5 years old. 

Must have NO drug/alcohol/dui convictions less than 5 years old. 

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
