As a Home Lending Associate, you will work closely with a designated Sr Home Lending Advisor to originate residential loans. You will be expected to work with the designated Sr Home Lending Advisor to acquire and build relationships with clients through comprehensive review and marketing of mortgage products to clients inside and outside the branch, and develop and work to expand your customer base. As the customer's main point of contact with Chase throughout the life of the loan, you will be required to deliver strong results in mortgage and home lending products, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills as well as provide exceptional service throughout the originations process. 

You will also be responsible for managing full-service mortgage banking relationships while delivering a superior service experience to a portfolio of affluent clientele. A successful Home Lending Associate will be expected to contribute to acquisition of new clients by actively seeking referrals and developing internal and external sources. You will take a lead role in creating an outstanding customer experience. You will also partner with specialists (such as Personal Bankers, Relationship Bankers, Relationship Managers, and Financial Advisors), to ensure our customers get access to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs. 

This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. As such, an employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to a determination by JPMC that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration for this position. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance) 

  • Will be assigned to work with a designated Mortgage Banker and get “hands on” expert Mortgage Banker Sales Support and Sales Leadership to ensure proper and successful ramp at Chase – credit, program, policy, technology, sales coaching, etc. 

  • The Mortgage Banker Associate will actively solicit and originate new residential loans via self sourcing or leads provided by the designated Mortgage Banker the Associate is assigned to or a combination of both. 

  • Will become expert with guidance and training on internal systems/technology 

  • Will be educated to develop/achieve strong referral partnerships with branch integration (relationship bankers, private client bankers and personal bankers) 

  • The Mortgage Banker Associate will report to a Lending Manager, the designated MB will not be considered his/her manager and will not be responsible for providing work direction to the Mortgage Banker Associate. 

  • The Mortgage Banker Associate shall not provide administrative or sales support that is typically handled by a Mortgage Banker Assistant beyond incidental support as may occur in the normal course of business.
