Job Description

Looking for a team player with initiative and excellent interpersonal skills that are flexible, adaptable, creative and results oriented for Operations Assistant position.  The Operations Assistant position involves data collection, entry, and reporting, processing documentation, organizing and maintaining file systems: electronic and physical, composing, typing, and distributing correspondence, preparing purchase requisitions, processing approved purchase requisitions.

  •  Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Although this may be your primary duty or function, you are expected to be cross-trained in other areas of the business and assist in those areas on an as-needed basis.

    Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes
    Compose and type correspondence.
    Organize and maintain file systems, and file correspondence and other records
    Conduct research, compile and type statistical reports
    Create and maintain database and spreadsheet files
    Understand Technology Conservation Group’s QEHS processes and procedures
    Demonstrate continuous effort to



Requirements: High school diploma, GED or two years previous experience in administrative position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Skills in keyboarding of at least 45 wpm, must be accurate and detail-oriented
  • Ability to operate a standard PC keyboard quickly and accurately, at or above the minimum acceptance rate
  • Extensive knowledge of internet search methods, search engines and how to most effectively structure search criteria
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as a familiarity with working on other Microsoft Office products, Windows 2000 and XP Operating systems

 Physical Demands

           Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
           Remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time
           View a computer screen for extended periods of time
           Able to hear, see, talk
           Hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
           Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
           Speaking abilities to frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately,
           loudly or quickly
           Repetitive motion movements using wrists, hands and / or fingers
