Job Description 

TERRITORY: LIVINGSTON AND WASHTENAW COUNTIES 

We are seeking a passionate, self-driven, natural born salesperson with a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. To sell, market, and service our insurance products to new business customers. 

Base salary + commission 

Benefits include health insurance paid at 50% for the employee, 401K plan, life insurance, short / long term disability paid 50%, dental and vision plan. 

This position is in our Ann Arbor, MI office. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop ongoing relationships with business associations you plan to target including builders, restaurants, landscapers etc. 

  • Prospect for new business by following sales leads generated from referrals, join networking groups, marketing, cold-calling and lead database. 

  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established. 

  • Develop insurance quotes, makes sales presentations, and closes sales. 

  • Present and explain insurance policy options based on prospective client needs and their goals. 

  • Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty. 

Requirements 

  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable. 

  • Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up. 

  • Must be awesome at opening doors and getting appointments from a cold start. 

  • Follow through and exceed current and prospective client expectations. 

  • Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude. 

  • Be able to obtain or currently possess a property & casualty insurance license 

  • Minimum 3-5 years prior sales experience is preferred 

  • Previous work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing
