The Senior Product Analyst assists in gathering, preparation, and analysis of information, such as loss data, underwriting, marketing, and competitor program, and any other information as requested for the purpose of helping in the preparation of the product reviews, as well as new product initiatives and enhancements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Gathers information in preparation for rate and product reviews.
  • Gathers information for product enhancements, new product initiatives, and other requests as needed.
  • Performs ROI analysis.
  • Create reports and presentations.
  • Assists in testing changes made to Company systems.
  • Prepares Department of Insurance filings.
  • Assists other product lines as needed. 
  • Effectively interact and collaborate with all levels of internal and external business partners including agents, customers, underwriters, service, claims, marketing, and IT.
  • Evaluate more complex situations that potentially involve higher risk.
  • Monitor trends and recommend changes to underwriting policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to less experienced product analysts.
  • Engages in basic quality assurance activities



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be well versed in automobile and homeowners policy forms and products.
  • Excellent knowledge of State and Department of Insurance statues and regulations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must possess and exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines efficiently and with high quality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • The individual must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic and exemplary customer service skills



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of prior industry experience to include advanced knowledge and understanding of personal lines products, fundamental underwriting principals, and pricing.
  • Experience in developing Property (Homeowner and Dwelling Fire) products in NC and SC, required
  • Completion of a general insurance course such as API (Associate in Personal Insurance) and working toward additional designations such as CPCU.


Legal Background Qualifications


  • Credit report with no open bankruptcies or showing delinquent debt over $50,000.
  • No felony convictions within the past ten years
