Shipping and Receiving Clerk – Canton, MI
Currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Canton, MI. You will be responsible for operating lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas. You will also unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items and record shortages.

Compensation for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
Starting salary for this position is $15/hour

Schedule for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00pm

Responsibilities of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.

High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Physical requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting, bending, stooping, walking, light lifting, climbing stairs, manual dexterity, direct exposure to heat and safety hazards associated with production environment, and computer operation.
